3 Simple Habits for a Healthier Spine


As a chiropractor, I often remind my patients that spine health isn’t just about avoiding pain — it’s about supporting your entire body. Your spine is central to your posture, movement, and even your nervous system function.

Here are three small habits that make a big difference:
  1. Move often. Sitting too long compresses the spine. Stand up, stretch, or take a walk every 30–60 minutes.
  2. Watch your posture. Keep your ears over your shoulders and shoulders over your hips — especially while on your phone or computer.
  3. Sleep smart. Use a supportive mattress and pillow. Your spine deserves rest, too.
